IE Produce was started In 1994

and has quickly become Auckland's premier supplier of ORGANICS FRESH produce.

IE Produce is proud to offer around 7,000 ORGANIC products (both fresh and dry goods) and in excess of 2,000 Wheat And Gluten Free products (growing weekly), as well as the conventionally grown fruit and vegetables.

IE Produce is New Zealands first Bio-Gro Certified, BIO-GRO certified products they buy in our shop are true to label. BIO-GRO certification of retailers involves audited documentation and strict procedures to be complied with for the complete supply chain- from the grower right to the customer.

IE Produce has the largest range of gluten free food available in New Zealand. Joyce & Phillip have worked closely with the Coeliac Society of New Zealand to ensure Coeliacs and wheat intolerant shoppers are able to find all their gluten free needs under one roof. Diabetic and lactose Coeliacs are also well catered for amongst the range. Every gluten free product as been identified and the gluten free symbol is displayed on the shelf below each product.

Joyce & Phillip Lowyim have been in the fresh produce industry for YEARS!

Joyce was born and bred in Whakatane and was involved in her parents Fruit and vegetable shop since she was knee-high to a grasshopper serving customers on an apple box, to reach the counter! After her family moved to Auckland, she met her husband Phillip, the manager of The Fruit Shed at Victoria Park Market.

Phillip, also born into the industry, spent lots of years in the family business, growing vegetables. Even in those days, the future of a vegetable grower didnt seem too rosy. So a change to the retail side of the industry was made.

The transition wasnt too hard, as the product didnt change. And with Joyces great customer service experience, and exceptional product knowledge, it wasnt too difficult to get back into a new business. We have not looked back since that time. West Harbour in 1984, Takapuna in 1994, and now on the Internet in 2000.

Joyce puts the success of their business down to working hard to please the customer. I find out what the customer wants, then do what it takes to get it for them, she says. Whether its product or information, or a recipe well find it.
